Valuers & Auctioneers Golf Society

The Society has been established since 1925 and 2014 commemurated the 75th anniversary of its annual match played against The Chartered Surveyors Golf Society at Royal Wimbledon, resulting in a resounding win for the VAGS.

VAGS, as it is today, emanated from a merger between what was the Incorporated Society of Land and Property Agents and the Valuers Institute in 1967 and, latterly in 2000, a merger between what had become the Incorporated Society of Valuers and Auctioneers (ISVA) and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

Spring, summer and Autumn Invitation meetings are held at Swinley Forest, Hankley Common, Ross on Wye (mixed competition) and Effingham golf clubs, and Captain’s Day will be held at Hankley Common Golf Club in July 2014. Our matches take place at Ashridge, Royal Wimbledon, Maidenhead and the New Zealand Golf Clubs. Please refer to our dates for 2014. We are fortunate to be holding an invitation event at the Wisley golf club which will be held on the 7th May 2014 which is an extra event for the 2014 calender.

Members of VAGS enjoy the privilege of playing at some of the much hallowed golf courses located in the South East of the country, which would not usually be open to non members to play. The Society is very proud to have maintained links with the various clubs concerned over a good many years. Long may these links continue.
